Sometimes when traveling we are lucky enough to find a place that feels like visiting family. For my son and I, the Silent Picket was this place. We spent two nights here with John and Jennie, and we wished we had at least one more. The B&B is perfectly located, warm and cozy, with two experts at the ready to help guests learn about the history of the area. We truly enjoyed our time here.

We had a fantastic time, right in the heart of the Somme, lovely place to stay and excellent cooking! I found out so much about my Grandfather and two of his brothers, who we honoured at Mailly Wood and Thiepval. John was able to give superb advise and left me with loads of info to trawl through. ... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 'Silent Picket' to anyone.
